A special day made easy
Brunch buffets, dessert trays, and more for the bride-to-be — reviews from the showers we’ve catered across Pittsburgh.
Cooked Goose catered my daughter’s bridal shower and the food was incredible. The brunch spread was beautiful, everyone raved about the French toast and the fresh fruit, and the cookie table at the end was a perfect Pittsburgh touch. Stress-free from setup to cleanup.
I hosted my best friend’s bridal shower at home and didn’t want to be in the kitchen the whole time. Cooked Goose handled everything — the quiche, the salads, the dessert tray. The bride and her mom both took home leftovers and the future mother-in-law asked me for the catering company’s name before she left.
We booked Cooked Goose for my sister’s shower at our church hall. The brunch buffet looked like something out of a magazine — cream linens, beautiful platters, generous portions. Everyone went back for seconds and we still had enough left over for the bride to take home a tray.

Hosting a bridal shower doesn't have to be complicated. Whether you're planning a brunch, luncheon, or afternoon celebration, we'll help you create a menu your guests will love. Fresh ingredients, crowd-pleasing favorites, and one less thing for you to worry about.

Frequently asked questions
What hosts ask most often when planning a bridal shower with Cooked Goose — from brunch menus to dessert tables.
How far in advance should we book a bridal shower?
Most bridal showers are booked 2–4 months in advance, especially for spring and summer weekend dates when wedding season fills our calendar fast. If your date is flexible, weekdays and Sunday afternoons tend to have the most availability. Call 412-258-5944 or 724-845-6247 to check your date.
Do you do brunch, lunch, or both?
Both — bridal showers are usually mid-morning to early afternoon, so we lean brunch-leaning menus: scrambled eggs, French toast, quiche, fresh fruit, bakery breads, bacon and sausage. If you’d rather skip the breakfast items, our lunch buffet (chicken, pasta, salads) is just as popular for an early-afternoon shower. Plenty of brides do a hybrid spread, too.
How much food per guest for a bridal shower?
Bridal showers are usually grazing-style — guests mingle, play games, watch the bride open gifts, and come back to the buffet more than once. We plan slightly heavier portions per guest than a sit-down dinner so the table looks generous from arrival through the gift opening. Tell us your guest count and we’ll size it from there.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
Yes — bridal showers often have the bride’s friends and her future in-laws in one room, so dietary needs vary. We have vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary- and allergy-friendly options. Please note we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur in our facility or during transport, so guests with severe allergies should be aware.
Where can you set up — a home, a restaurant, a community space?
All of the above. We regularly deliver and set up at private homes, garden patios, church halls, community centers, country clubs, and rented event spaces across the Pittsburgh area. Tell us the venue and setup spot when you book, and we’ll arrive with the chafing dishes, serving utensils, and linens you need to make it look beautiful.
Do you provide the cake and dessert table?
Yes — our Dessert Catering menu was made for this. Cookie trays, brownies, lady locks, pizzelles, kolaczki, thumbprints, and small sheet cakes are all popular. Many brides ask us for a Pittsburgh-style cookie table for the shower so the bride can take leftover cookies home as a preview of the wedding spread. Let us know what flavors she loves and we’ll build the table around her.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is tiered by distance from the closest Cooked Goose kitchen (Oakdale or Leechburg):
- Within 10 miles — $55
- Beyond 10 miles — $65
- Beyond 20 miles — $75
- Beyond 30 miles — $85
- Beyond 40 miles — $95
Chafing units, when needed, are $14.95 per set. Full delivery terms are on our Terms of Service page.
How and when do we pay?
A $100 non-refundable deposit secures your date. We require a credit card on file, but for the balance we prefer checks — either mailed in prior to the shower or handed to the driver on delivery. The full balance is due the day of the shower.
Can we adjust the menu or guest count after booking?
Yes — we know shower RSVPs come in late, especially from out-of-town wedding guests. Orders can be changed up to 7 days prior to the shower to ensure our inventory orders meet your needs. Final guest count, menu adjustments, and dietary additions need to be locked in at that point.
